EGARA Members unanimously elected Pat Negus, KD2ZQR, as President of the club during the annual election of officers at the April membership meeting. Bryan Jackson, W2RBJ, who previously held the post, became President Emeritus. Negus, who had been a member of the club's Board of Directors, resigned that position to run as President, and Jackson was elected to replace him in that post.
Also elected to the board was Don Mayotte, KB2CDX, who replaced Steve VanSickle, WB2HPR, whose term expired.
Incumbents for Vice President, Walt Synder, N2WJR, Treasurer, Pete Brickman, KD2YLG, and Secretary, Dave Jaeger, K2DEJ, were all re-elected unanimously.
Officers serve for a term of one year, while board members serve for three years on a staggered basis.
"I am grateful to the EGARA members for allowing me to serve the club as its President for many years. I believe change in leadership is important to keeping our club moving forward and I'm pleased that Pat Negus agreed to take on the role and bring his vision to the club," said Jackson. I look forward to supporting him as I take on the advisory role of President Emeritus."
